The One Emotion of a Teenage Rebel

Blood is heated Anger fueled By lust of an enemy dueled. By ever taunting Make it stronger Before it’s free, won’t be much longer. Rage released Hatred free Venting leads us to believe. The clout of anger Dwells hereafter In souls divided by screams and laughter. The laughter mocks The heart of man As only enraged mortal can. Keep at bay These fits of rage All it is, it’s just a stage.

Teddy, in the last line you reminded me of Shakespeare's words, "Life is but a poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage." Welcome to poetrysoup. I look forward to reading more of your work. Best wishes, Carolyn
