The Old Me - Part I

I want the old me back
How did I let me slip away?
I know it didn’t happen in one day
Didn’t I use to be nice?
Now my heart seems made of ice
I want the old me back
What caused this change in me?
And why on earth did I not see?
It must have happened slow
Because no one bothered to let me know
I want the old me back
I was changing, and not for the best
If I’d known I would have confessed
Why did I take it for so long?
They say what doesn’t kill us
Makes us strong
I want the old me back
He did this, of that I’m sure
Now my old life is just a blur
How do I change things?
How do I start?
That horrible man left a hole in my heart

Yes there are some that take a chunk out of us, aren't there. I agree with Yann's comment that time heals and forgiveness if more for your ability to move on then the other party at times.
