Notes About The Poem

[A form of poetry Charles Messina created, called an "Elemental," compared to a "haiku" but with a different line and syllable count. This form consists of 7-lines, 7-syllables each line. The rhyme pattern is AABBCCA. Also, the first and last lines must be the same. An "Elemental" must pertain to the three elements- (earth, water, sky).]

The Ocean's Tide - El

Tides, the ocean’s undulate
Rising, falling—contemplate
How the moon so high above
Works the tides like hand in glove
Moonlight playing on the beach
While the moon beams out to reach
Tides, the ocean’s undulate
