The Night Swoops In

When the sun had spent its last ray
The night swooped in and took the day
An owl awakened from its sleep
and hooted through the forest deep

The moon came out to say hello
To all those it saw below
A cloud passed by with a sigh
and to the moon it said goodbye

A moth got lost in search of the moon
But a street light seemed to fit the tune
Other moths had found their 'moon' too
And round and round and round they flew

The stars decided to twinkle out a song
Which seemed to last all night long
When the last moonbeam took flight
The day swooped in with delight!

This is so cute. Inventive too. I am pretty sure this was a challenge we were asked to do. Can't think whose right now or maybe I am all wrong about that
