The Night

The night is still very clear, and so hard
 to erase from my mind
Though it must've been a million years, another
 place and time
The kiss was filled with a hunger no one else
 has shown
It was the most extreme love that I've ever
 known
The night instilled a fire that will not seem
 to die
And no one can replace all I felt inside
The good-bye was the hardest one I've had to
 meet
And I still feel the pain on the wound that was
 cut too deep
