The New York Bell

The golden bell clangs and a name, is read aloud.
Like human incense, in the shape of a lovely
heart-cloud.

Many want to forget America's day of infamy.
But to family and friends, each name bears much
love and eternal dignity.

This is an apt tribute to those who lost so much. Hugs Rick.

Thank you, dear Richard Survivors still feel the pain. 400 firemen died in that rubble of slaughter. Panagiota

Great poetry my friend. Honoring those innocent people that were murdered by those with hearts as black as coal and fueled with hate. It is never right to murder innocent people to gain any goal. No God demands such sacrifice. Yes, many have forgotten, but also many burn with desire to keep our nation free and one that never bows to such evil...

Sorry for a late response, my friend. Am not hopeful the way I see things going? Black hearts now outnumber those who want America as a Republic. They hate the country, and freedom of speech is dead. Name calling, hitting each other.Marching with Katifahs and masks in unamerican. I was in many marches in the 1970s. No hurting each other and for sure, not the police. Panagiota

G'day Panagiota … America needs poets to remind its citizens that tragedies like this will never be forgotten, nor the innocent victims who perished - thank you Panagiota - Lindsay

Lindsay, this was covered in great detail all day in new footage, I have never seen. There is a huge memorial in NYC. My daughter has been to it and cried all the way through. I still can't believe it ever happened! And I did watch TV all day. National Geograhic Channel. What a job they did, fantastic. Panagiota. PS we never forget!

Of course, I agree! But it seems to me we woukd prefer to bow down rather than stand up. On 9/11, America fought back. But we have been brow beaten into embracing the enemy. Not me, Tom!))) Panagiota
