The New Old Year

It blows in with a fresh breeze
Seemingly, old ghosts do freeze
As hope sounds with golden bees
Smiles are captured with one cheese

Sweet sounding songs fill our void
As with new strength we are poised
Old paths are seemingly coiled
For fresh fragrances are boiled

But our old, crude stinking acts
Striding with wrong porous facts
Stains the new year with bad fats
As we slip into old stats

The fresh new year becomes stale
As fresh spirits grow grey pale
When others end we do trail
Waiting on a new year's rail

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
