The New Norm
We must learn to deal with the new norm
Things have changed since I was a kid
It's surely a different world since growing up
Is it better or not that's the question
For those who grew up during the war years
When the world was on the brink
Memories take over during a difficult time
Challenging of the missing link
The future was really not assured in those days
Atomic destruction was imminent
Made it through though in spite of all things
Still here as long as we remain vigilant
