The Neighbor's Cats

The squirrels have disappeared from my backyard Since the neighbor’s cats have invaded their domain, And I am taking their sudden absence especially hard The squirrels have disappeared from my backyard. It appears that the culprits, the cats, cannot be barred Complaining to their ditzy owner is all that remains The squirrels have disappeared from my backyard, Since the neighbor’s cats have invaded their domain. Those cats must be killer cats; I have my own and I can testify they will kill squirrels. You need to get a dog; they are fun, loyal, cute, snuggly, they love you unconditionally and they will chase all cats out of their yard.

Love your triolet, Milt:-) Awesome imagery! So you like squirrels like that, huh? I remember feeding one Brazil nuts in my backyard years ago, and it started coming around every day expecting to be fed. Didn't realize squirrels were smart! I had to get a rodent repellent and it stopped coming, lol.

Indeed, they can be pesky, Edward. I love to watch them frolic and play in my backyard, however, where they do no harm.
