The Neighbors
Have you ever had those neighbors
That argue all the time?
Well, I'll bet the ones you have
Aren't nearly as bad as mine
I guess mine's called my conscience
My shoulders are their home
A devil on the left, an angel on the right
And they just won't leave me alone
Now all they do is argue
I just feel so abused
They always leave me scratching my head
And even a little confused
The devil says, "Go ahead and do it,
Who's ever gonna know"
The angel says, "You better not listen,
Just because he told you so"
I mean it, my neck gets sore
From turning left and right
All I ever do is listen
Cause all they ever do is fight
Even while I'm trying to sleep
I'm awakened by their screams
Can you believe it? I'm serious
They even argue about my dreams
Even when I'm taking a shower
I still get no privacy
They put on their little shower caps
And hop right in with me
So tell me, what's a man to do,
When he has so many choices?
"Please, somebody help me,
Put a stop to my neighbor's voices
