The Nature of It
sturdy in the winds of change
soft as the petals of a rose
at times sharp ready to rearrange
it may flow where the wind blows
unafraid of transformation
unafraid of light
unafraid of night
unafraid of proclamation
to train
the brain
to weep
to sleep
to read
to seed
to flow
to grow
to make
to break
to ask
to task
to walk
to talk
to beam
the dream
the nature
of a thing
the nature
of change
the nature
of it sing
the nature
of it strange
life, is it life
the bitter, the sweet
the nature of it all
to win and defeat
