The Nature

To Dear Mother:
Not my Mother,But The Nature Mother!

How are you doing Mommy?
Met you yesterday, hope you remember Me!
Spent my day-whole day in your lap
Loved it when sky turned on its tap
Your KIDS took great care of me
They're the real cause behind our glee!
Your man ''Tree'' doing his job at best
By giving some place to make a nest!
He also allowed me to sit under his shade
Sun was burning so he gave me some aid
Then he gave me his fruits to eat
While sun was throwing its scorching heat!
Some guest arrived then,name-Breeze
And announced the death of some leaves
Sun was sending its rays constantly
And leaves were enjoying wholeheartedly!
By the evening Sun decided to leave
And didn't want to spoil the evening's eve
As sun left,Sky wore a full black cap!
Created a hustle by turning on its tap!
Your whole family was much delighted
Sky perhaps thought What a great job I did;)
After a while,Moon decided to join as well
All across the sky,its light fell
Breeze came again Whistling in my ear
Saying silently ''Good Night My Dear!''
I haven't talked to them but I felt
They taught me How guests should be dealt!
Thank you very much Mommy!
I loved the lullaby!

From a Bachelor:
Who loves Nature :) :)

Saba, nature has a beautiful thing going on. I like the way you serenade this poem, describing and giving mother nature, a peaceful lullaby about her... Linda

Best of luck in the competition. What an interesting write, I like the angle that you have taken here, that of an intimate relationship with nature. Afterall we have an intimate relationship with nature. Great work.

PS... I'm like everyone else on the soup, I don't read nor support, those who don't wish it from me. I read and comment my winning poems, in one sitting. Many times, I read my winning poems, more times than I read my own poems. Saba, sometimes when I comment small like the comment at the bottom, it's because I don't know the poet. So I keep it short, and real... Take Care. PD

I felt the same way about you Saba, I was waiting to receive support from you, except that from which are in my contest... I don't read the new poems as often, glad I read this one.

Dear Saba, This poem really tickled my fancy. I love the way you personified all aspects of nature -- trees, breezes, the sun, sky, moon and even leaves. You have a delightful writing style and I hope you'll jot down a few lines on birthdays or aging for my contest. Even a joke is acceptable. I'm creating a birthday booklet for friends, including folks on the Soup. Love, carolyn
