The Muse

Something I wrote tonight... needs work and insights from others...

Throwing this one out raw and ready for suggestions.

The Muse

I play my instrument,
to strings of life to others
The pleasure in giving, to my detriment
tormented by my brothers

To feel the pain we share
In selling our soul to please
In baring our souls we dare
In playing our part we tease

At times we play instruments...
A piano, A guitar, A chime...
A bass, A sax, A drum or Trombone
All to please as so inclined

The muse is a fuse
To ignite the spirit...
In playing the part we choose
To lose ourselves and dare it.

3 if not... that is not my concern or should not be, as trying to make it my concern is where the pain is. Living in both worlds. As Christ said..a .servant cannot serve 2 masters. It is a process to learn in order to gain the joy that comes with perfecting and giving our gifts that have been given us. I hope this helps you to see what I get out of what you are writing along with my own experiences. and it may help you rewrite to please your core if that is what you desire. God bless you

2 ..who I was created to be is my world not theirs. The pain in soul comes when we play to please others that are in an unrelated world. we play our insts whatever they may be including poetry because it wells up from the inside. Joy only comes when we play to further and fulfill this gift of giving whatever it is we have been given. Doing our part we choose to lose ourselves if we dare to our God given destiny thereby gaining all. If others accept the gifts of the talent we give..good...

Back at ya. Your poem may be raw but it has much much to think about in the way of life lessons and experiences of my own come into play. Let me give you my take on what is said here and you can agree or not but if you do perhaps you can rework if you feel you must. I play my inst. as a means of igniting the fuse of muse resonating the strings of others but also of self.My pleasure in giving of myself(gifts) to others tormented by bros. only because I let them do so. Being myself ..

Robert, thanks for leaving this in my comment section so I could view it, Having not much time this AM before work all I can say for now is that this is interesting and has several points and views on the why and wherefor of muse that I would like to consider and comment on. It runs rather deep my friend and strikes a chord for thought and conversation. Thankyou. Back at ya
