The Movie Side of Things
As life plays on the big-screen.
People are looking in.
My mistakes I made are played to the world,
Things I shouldn't have done.
A picture's worth a thousand words.
Mine was worth much, a very many.
Words could never explain,
The feelings I had when someone betrayed me.
He swore he'd never show anyone.
An oath that had been broken.
He promised it was for himself,
And not the football team he was with.
The conclusion I came to,
A year after it happened.
Was that he never like me,
A good liar was he.
To play my heart, by its strings.
He loved to make it dance.
His personal puppet was I,
not meaning to be, but I had given him the chance.
