The mountain above the sea
When man’s ego is no more
Reality comes banging on his door.
When the sun refuses to budge
the stars will come in
and gallivant in their diamond rings.
Look around and tell me what you see
the mountain is rising above the sea
the universe is breathing slow
and destiny has a short way to go.
Some flights are grounded
Others are taken out of the air
For the schedule has disappeared
The route has changed
for there is nothing to gain
and no one is going there.
I brave the heat, just to have a conference with thee
For I have seen the destruction of the earth
And the suffering it has caused from the time of our birth
There is no better example to set
When the globe is choking under its own breath.
You tear up the world to appease your soul
But you keep getting the same results until you grow old.
The earth is dry and there is no moisture in the sky.
Silent voices linger by the sea
Silent voices immerse in the memory of its dream
I can smell salt air from the sea
and something is beckoning me to have swim with thee
and so, I will force myself to come before the day is done.
You have never flown on a plane for almost eighteen years
But you must get on the plane
and face your own fear when the air is clear
the distance between us is long
but just one step forward will change your song.
You will get that long awaited break-through
And when you sum it up all,
there is no distance between us at all.
The mountain above the sea
has a profound message for thee.
