The Mother She Could Never Be

Cookies, cakes, and candies made

Jars of jams and jellies too

Clothes mended and made

Through the years you've watched me grow

Now we share phone calls, an occasional visit

And photos from one another

As my children grow I truly see all that

You've done for me

I love you so for being the mother she could

Never be
