Merry Christmas!!

The morning before, the day before
The year is twenty-twenty
The virus kept us home all year
Has been anything but funny
Christmas is around the bend
It's just two days away
Still distancing and wearing masks
Have several things to say
Separation necessary
Wasn't for the lack of love
The Lord was always with us
He was watching from above
Walked with us and talked with us
And helped to get us through
Got us to another Christmas
And saved our lost souls too
Lord Jesus Christ, it's Christmas day
Began these thoughts two days ago
Looking forward to this morning
You're always with us here, I know
Born in a lowly stable
To save our souls, be by our sides
This day is for believers
Where our Jesus Christ abides
This year has not been easy
He's been with us in the throng
Brought us to this celebration
And has guided us along
Merry Christmas day to everyone
And when this day is done
Remember Christ is always with us
He is the Lord God's Son
