The Moon and the Star

As I looked at the silver moon, Staring down at me, the star to left and the right, Told me to just be me, I spoke to the moon and stars with ears so wide, That of course I shall just be me and, You, Moon, you remind me of a fella, The fella with a smile that shines, just as bright as yours, I should get a mirror just to show, The stars and the moon with the smile so gleaming, There beauty and hope that is so just like my fellas, My lover is my fella that he has, Such beauty and shine just like, The moon and the stars.
