The Missing Piece

The Missing Piece By Rick Rucker I once believed myself to be complete, With many abilities, I seemed replete, Then, to my amazement, you came along, And proved those old beliefs were wrong, I did not know that I was searching for Jason’s Fleece, But, in my case, you were the missing piece! When first we met, right then, I knew, That I would not be fulfilled sans You! Did Life throw us a bone, To keep each of us from being Alone? Or is this some Grand Plan, To keep from withering away, this lonely Man? Meeting you, in a sense, was a disaster, You showed me that I am not the Master, You now rule my every part, From my Head to my Heart, I am so totally smitten, By the Love Bug, fatally bitten! I will never seek a cure, I will happily live with this disease, for sure! I will endeavor every night, To love you with all my might! Just one more thing, I cannot wait to see you wear my Ring!

A beautiful love poem, Rick! Hope you do present that ring and it results in a lasting bond. Love, Carolyn
