Notes About The Poem

The Missing Piece

A memory that’s elusive
On the corners of my mind
I reach, but cannot touch it.
I seek, but cannot find

Is it coming from the future?
Or somewhere in the past?
I know I want to hold it
But the vision doesn’t last

For a swiftly fleeting moment
A calmness reigns supreme
Then it slips into the ether
Like an echo of a dream

I hope someday to capture it
And hold it in my soul
For I think it is the missing piece
I need to make me whole.

Thank you, Andrea. It is so nice of you to think this. I’m still practising adding pictures. They don’t always come out how I expect.lol
