The Miracle of Easter
THE MIRACLE OF EASTER
It was not a hocus-pocus and was not a magic act;
Jesus rose that Sunday morning; I believe it is a fact.
He didn’t say, “Abra-cadabra,” nor say, “Open, Sesame”;
No, He rose through His own power, now alive for all to see.
He didn’t need a human helper to roll that heavy stone away;
No, the earth quaked there to show us Jesus was alive to stay!
And the angel gave the message, “Fear not, come, behold, and see:
Here’s the place where they had laid Him; He arose in victory!”
Some had said it was illusion, found it hard to then believe,
But He ate right there before Him, then they gladly did receive.
Yes, there is no explanation but that God was satisfied
With the blood He shed on Calvary just three days ago He died.
And the miracle of Easter can be anyone’s today,
They don’t need a great magician waving his wand there to say
Special words, mysterious chantings, but by faith to now believe
That He came to save a sinner if He’d only they’d receive.
Man may trick us with illusions, hand is quicker than the eye,
But the salvation Christ offers is no illusion or a lie.
You can count on His forgiveness, your eternal home to stay
If by faith you will receive Him in your heart and life today!
