The migration of birds

Samantha, my cat, put on her glasses and sat by the tv today.. Besides being cute she's very astute at keeping winter blues at bay.. When she can't find her pen, she'll turn on CNN and see what their commentators say, but it's really not her turf so other channels she'd surf, until she saw some thing okay.. Samantha found the Migration of Birds and if a cat could speak words, "that documentary was awesome" she'd say.

Dear Sara, I hope you are safe with those wild fires down there. I heard the air quality is impacting the whole state. I have a niece in Austin. I hope and pray that its soon contained.

A testimony to a wise Creator, who implanted in their tiny brains a GPS unlike anything man could ever devise. Samantha got it right

Hi Tom, f.y.i.-a cat's brain is 0.91% of their body mass where as a human brain is 2.3% of our body mass. Cats brains have gotten smaller since being domesticated but they do not have a small brain. It's equivalent to our little finger. LOL

Dear Nancy, Your poem is a delightful snapshot of Samantha's curiosity! The image of her watching the documentary with her glasses on is so charming. The clever comparison of Samantha's "turf" to news channels and her eventual enjoyment of the bird migration evokes a sense of her personality. While cats may not speak words, your poem beautifully captures the essence of their unique curiosity and appreciation for the natural world. Vert heartwarming and humorous piece. - Blessings, Daniel

HI Daniel, Thanks for your visit and I'm glad you liked yet another Samantha write. I'm sure other poets don't feel the same way though. Blessings
