The Midnight Hour

The Midnight Hour

There's madness in the midnight hour
Insanity in the minutes
Lunacy in the ticking seconds
Escape from reality beckons

Voices call from a dark abyss
Whispered words left unspoken
Echoes lost in infinite caverns
Flames flicker from an unlit lantern

There's mayhem as the clock strikes twelve
Disorder and chaos abound
Delusions seem to become the norm
Confusing images won't conform

Thoughts run rampant before the dawn
Sanity fleeting can't be reigned
Restless spirits flee into the night
Reality beckons with the coming light
