The Mexican Border Fence

Billions of tax dollars, for a useless curtain
"Gringo, we just dig a tunnel to move our drugs under your fence"
Been doing it for years, worthless a screen door on a submarine

Excellent poem, and I find it funny but so true, Danny.

Compelling thoughts expressed powerfully, Danny. That "useless curtain" may indeed be as worthless as "a screen door on a submarine." Illegal alients have been entering U.S. boarders for many years, in spite of the government's efforts to stop them. If they're coming here just to "move...drugs," I wish they'd just take their wares elsewhere. Excellent poem, Danny! Love, Carolyn

Like the pun and the metaphoric description here. Keep writing. Sara
