The Mess We Left Behind

I can’t begin to tell you, The way I feel now, My new way of looking at life, All the stress I possess, The pain I strive to live through day to day, My emotions confusion and loss, Plus normal life, My minds complete misunderstanding, My anger and frustration, So many hurtful moments, The lonely nights, Every memory crossing my mind, No matter where I look I see the memories, When night comes our dreams of the nights, Tragically the passionate nights come back to haunt me, I feel so blind, So deaf, Torn and incomplete, I hope one day it’ll all be okay, Until then here I stand, Grieving this all, Wishing for a sign from God, Praying for just one small miracle, I’ll take each day as it comes, No matter how harsh and how rough and tough it is, I can make it alone, I just have to be able to somehow, My ground I must hold and stand, For I will lose myself in this dangerous and mysterious land.
