The Mercies of God
God is indeed a God of abundant mercy
seeking to pour it on the sons of men
this mercy is kind humble and forgiving
something beyond description of earthly pen
This grace was displayed ultimately
by Jesus God’s only begotten son
when He paid the price of man’s sin
man’s salvation proved victory won
But Jesus spoke this great fifth beatitude
when He brought the sermon on the mount
there showing what truly is real mercy
as God conveys it from His blessed fount
So mercies purpose in being received
should not end but be given away
pass it along life’s eternal road
then God brings many a blessed day
So learn well to be merciful
give it your whole full attention
pour it around many others neck
make sure you answer it’s question!
