The Mending of the Heart

I saw two foxes run through a hole And my sorrow was weakened still. I watched two lovers swim through a gull And the air took my breathe into the sky Like a frightened lullaby.

I just wanted to comment again. Sometimes I talk so much that I don't ever get my point across. I just wanted to tell you than I did enjoy this poem first. And then the analysis....just can't help myself. Love, Dane

Matt. Nice words and flow. ???'s Two foxes ran through the hole>>> you were happier. (sorrow weakened.) The "frightened lullaby" must be "...and when the bough breaks, the cradle will fall..." Since the lullaby words are frightening, but in reality, love and cuddling usually come with the lullaby. (a sort of ambiguous thing to sing to babies...) Does the line, "And the air took my breathe into the sky" mean something nice like "so wonderful, it took my breath away?" right or wrong? DAS-J
