The Melancholy Tide

The melancholy
Starts seeping in
Unsure where to start
Can’t even begin

Frozen in your
State of mind
Sitting idle
Passing time

Want to reach out
Unsure where to grab
All the thoughts go racing wildly
About the things that you once had

To late to turn back
No way to rewind
Now you just go couch surfing
On your melancholy tide
