The Medicinal Harvest
Shortening daylight
As summer turns fall
To harvest for winter
Gathering all
That is needed in darkness
As nights draw in
Preserving the summer
And the magic within.
Picking the jewels
Leaf, flower and berry
Mint and hawthorn
Hip and Rosemary.
Natures secrets
Medicine within
I start my harvest
Let the healing begin.
