The Meaning of Life
Ah, the meaning of Life...
What is it?
Perhaps it is just a feeling of not being complete.
I've always said that the meaning OF life,
Is to find one's own meaning IN life,
To reach a state of subjective equilibrium;
To put it one way:
A state of psychological wellbeing,
Where your own reality is secured amongst the pressure of others.
It is the goal of all philosophy,
Striving to understand the world,
Perhaps not in its totality,
But for one's own purpose.
Because no-one but Hobbes or Plato,
or any other philosopher for that matter,
Benifited more from their theories, than themselves!
They alone were able to see their truths,
Grasp them,
And make them real.
People turn to philosophy and religion for answers,
But the answers are within;
They were always there...
Dangling within our grasp,
So that we may realise them before the moment of our death,
And become one with the universe mentally,
Before we take that last physical step,
And dissolve...
