The Meaning of Life

I tried composing a sonnet about the meaning of life but found no suitable rhyme for chocolate chip cookies

and your fourth one, the shortest and sweetest which I had seen! Is this a shape poem because it is the hourglass of life?

That was the intent, but look at it, it doesn't much look like an hourglass, more like an 'X', haha!

Maybe there's just a *touch* of hyperbole here?

hahaha.. that is so funny... I'll take the chocolate chip cookies though. I would name this form a shape poem. ( Shape poems do not have to take the form of the object it describes. This form is different than a concrete poem, in that a concrete poem takes the shape of the object it describes.)

I learned something new today! I was actually curious recently about the diff between shape and concrete, and all I had to do was ask Eve Roper! I changed the type to "Shape", and also changed my poem "Waterfall" to concrete, as it forms the rough outline of a waterfall. Thank you, Eve ~ John

Sandra, I've seen your rhyme, and it's sublime. You may not know it: you're a rhyming poet! (I was thinking along the line of wookiees!) Hugs ~ John

;) Then I guess we'll have to keep eating the cookies until we find a rhyme. Cute poem, John, and I like the way you formed the hourglass shape. Best wishes, Carolyn

Thank you, Carolyn! I had to figure I'm not the only one out there who places a high priority on those baked delectables!
