The Mean Side of Jealousy

Jealousy, a demanding malady, It will destroy the best relationship And, it offers no simple remedy, While undermining a companionship. Loss of trust will destroy a partnership It will certainly cause a painful rift, More destructive than simply being miffed Before two hearts were lovingly entwined, But now they are suddenly set adrift Because jealousy simply cannot bind. written June 16, 2021

Jealousy is something I used to encounter as a child, I never encountered it after my children arrived. I was so happy!

Jealousy can be a killer. I never suffered with it, but I have seen it destroy couples.

All you’ve written in this poem is correct. When jealousy raises its ugly head, love is bled. Well said Milton… Belle

Thank you, Belle. So true. I wish I had thought of that when I was writing the poem. (grin)

Thanks so much, Ken. I don't think I'm a jealous person, but it came unexpectedly rear its ugly head...and it always ends up disastrously!
