The Me That Was
"Me" That Was
Sometimes I Think My Life Is Bad
And There's No Sense in Going on
Now Some May Think That Sad
But Somehow I'm Just Mostly Gone
I'm Not the Way I Used to Be
The Smile I Wore on My Face
Was Honest and True and Really Me
But the Me That Was Is Now Erased
I Have Looked Most Everywhere
Clear to the Depths of My Soul
But the Me That Was Just Isn't There
I Am Not Altogether Whole
The Fragments of Me I Find
Are Jagged and Unevenly Cut
But Somewhere Deep in My Mind
There's an Answer Without a "But"
The Question I Have Is Honest and Fair
Who Am I Now and Why
There Has to Be an Answer
And to the Me That Was...Do I Say Goodbye?
