The Master of Your Fate
The journey is long, the path treacherous and hard,
As we step out in faith, to boldly serve our Lord.
Temptations are there nearly every step of the way
Trying us and testing our weakness from day to day.
Sometimes we get weary and wander slightly off the straight and narrow road,
And it is then we sometimes pick up burdens that compound our already heavy load.
And instead of us laying those heavy burdens down,
We let them consume us and try and rob us of our crown.
We are the masters of our own fate,
We make the decision to be deceived or follow the narrow and straight.
One paints a picture of our hearts desires, our minds delights,
While the other says follow Me for I am the Truth and the Light.
One left us a book that answers our questions and guides us along the way,
And if we need to talk to Him all we have to do is pray.
While the other promises us everything we want or think we need,
Just to lure you in his trap with these lies that he feeds.
Just ask yourself this, what happens to all the riches you acquire on the day that you die,
Did you know it is harder for a rich man to get into Heaven, than for a camel to go through a
needles eye?
The journey is hard, but in the end the rewards are great,
Always remember that you are the master of your own fate.
