The Mask

A piece of invaluable
material
used, a shield for protection
a wall to hide behind,
a strong and powerful weapon.
Strong enough to shun
the softest touch-
deadly enough to ruin
the most reputable
character.
The smallest flaw can be tragic;
just big enough for a ray of light
just small enough to go undetected.
Only to be conquered by:
the unstoppable hand of time
the unforgettable touch of love
the undeniable presence of truth.
