The Marvel of a Flowering Lemon-Tree

Refrain I

"I know the land where the lemon-trees flower,
whispering beautiful secrets that shall soon devour,
savoring that flavor with the tiny hint of sour.
All the loveliness in nature can never be compared,
lifting up our senses as the butterflies glared.

Chorus

A gorgeous marvel has come to be
for the fragrance of a blossoming lemon-tree.
Ravishing temptation to stop and see
all the enticing allure from a honey bee.

Refrain II

Pure delight blooming those lemons so bold,
the first taste I had in my youth I was sold.
For this appealing plant I shall write an ode,
and sing it with elegance and such grace,
winsome with pleasure on the smile on my face.

Chorus

A gorgeous marvel has come to be
for the fragrance of a blossoming lemon-tree.
Ravishing temptation to stop and see
all the enticing allure from a honey bee.

Refrain III

Enchanting blades upon the branches bare,
the farmlands tend to the trees with care.
In the Summertime I like to always prepare
some fresh lemonade as the lemon-trees flower,
savoring that flavor with the tiny hint of sour.

Final Chorus
A gorgeous marvel has come to be…
for the fragrance of a blossoming lemon-tree."
(ends in F-sharp)
