The Martyres

There was no place to hide, but straight ahead
Oh how the people would chide, they wanted them dead
But these men had no fear for they loved the Lord
This being so vividly clear having struck a chord

Traveling to such unfriendly places, both near and far
To always be iin Gods graces says who you really are
Beaten, imprisoned and killed what a life they lead
Because from what God had willed these people never fled

They went upon their way and preached His Word
Such a part would they play for those who haven't heard
Such love did they spread all in Jesus! Holy Name
For in the words they said so many would never be the same

Such mighty men were they, so pure and strong inside
As they followed a Way where there was no pride
It's to them that I pray that I should be so strong
In this a new day where things are so very wrong
