The Marriage Proposal
It could have been a thought that entered his head many times,
A thought, he wanted to ask but lacked in confidence,
He can usually answer any question as quick as a clock chimes,
But when it comes to this simple question, he dreads the consequence,
He can't envisage that his question would be declined,
Though if he got the desired outcome, would he believe his ears,
Perhaps an elaborate scene could be designed,
To reach his goal he will have to dispel his fears,
So work out what needs to be said, rehearse time and time again,
get friends to help, to give moral support and encouragement,
Not knowing, denying himself will surely send him insane,
Just ask the question, just four words, end your torment,
put the question with help of friends, don't make a mess,
Will you marry me, the answer is for you to hazard a guess.
