The Marriage of Three

The bond of marriage
A commitment for life
Said to be shared by two
The husband and the wife

My marriage is different
As it is bonded by three
All were present on that day
And were married legally

There are not two husbands
Nor is there another wife
We share a love for one other
Whom we committed to for life

We don’t turn the heads of others
When we walk together in town
Not once in this marriage of three
Were we looked upon with a frown

Marriage always takes more than two
Though not everyone would agree
Our marriage is shared with the Lord
We are bonded not by two, but by three
