The Man Without a Face
The Man Without a Face by JTCurtis
Darkness shadows your anticipation
As you pause to take this invitation
With weakness in your loins, you give the man your coins
To take you cross the river, to a place
Taken by a man without a face
Slowly, rowing, with each stroke of his paddle
Sinking fears, are something you must battle
With the coins now off your eyes, you have come to realize
That now, you really haven't time to waste
You can see it in the man without a face
*
'Cause, time doesn't matter to you any more
Nor does pain, problems, obstacles or lies
Those things, you won't even find a trace
When you realize that you've fallen far from grace
Slowly drifting, your boat is getting nearer
From the mist, things are looking clearer
There's really no surprise, as it appears before your eyes
It's by far to late for you to state your case
You see it as a man without a face
*
He walks from the boat leaving you behind
and places the paddle in your hands
As your troubled heart begins to race
You find, Your the man without a face
Soon you start, back a cross the river
Hoping praying, for a new soul from the Giver
It may take some time, for your sins to all unwind
And another soul to come and take your place
As you remain The Man without a face
