The Man With the Orange Cat
It was absurd to think that anyone would appreciate an Orange cat,
Except of course, for Mr. Knock, "The Man in the Hat".
Its admirable fur was golden and generous,
Its disposition genial, yet kindly tenuous.
Eyes so deep with iris green,
The smallest iota could not pass unseen.
Truly costly to anyone caught who had the knack,
Making it irritable enough to kink over its back.
The man was an engineer who emits great kindness, you see,
Sharing the order of his flat with this unkempt "Tabby".
They lived together without any strife,
Sharing with each other, an excellent life.
