The Man I See

Wanted to be somebody someday
Couldn't find my way
The man I see
Wasn't the man I thought I'd be
Lost in time
Making things rhythm
One step closer to who I want to be
The man I want to see
So many paths to take
Tomorrow is mine to make
Leaving yesterday in my wake
Time passing by
Puts tears in my eye
Time just makes me older
Life makes me bolder
Love made me colder
Looking out into the night
Watched this big fight
What a sight
Lost in my mind
It keeps hitting rewind
Living in the past
Became my cast
Loosing my tomorrows
Over yesterdays sorrow
Stepped out past the pain
Cause I had much more to gain
Than living in the rain
Everyday I try
Somedays I still cry
But on and on I go
It is myself I need to show
I have the strength
I can go the length
Find that man I seek
Of whom I once had a peek
Find the way
Making it through each new day
Till that man I see
Is the man I be
