The Man Behind the Curtain

“I am Oz. Just who are you!”
“Dare not question what I do.”
The great and powerful did conceal
The little dog proceeded to reveal
The thick curtain he pulled away
Thus the actual situation to betray
“Catch that mutt!” was the cry
“Such a dog deserves to die.”
But the dog wouldn’t stay
Rather, quickly he ran away
“Turn that cur over to me
A traitor’s fate all will see!”
What the dog had exposed
Much needed to be disclosed
A humbug pretending to protect us all
“Unwarranted snooping” is the call
Give that canine an honored place
And no retribution must he face
