The Man

The Man I walk like him, you can tell I’m his son just after a few steps I talk like him, we use the same funny words, we have the same voice I look like him, looking in my eyes he can see himself from years ago I act like him, we have the same mannerisms, same smile We love the same things We hate the same things He wants the best for me He doesn’t want me to struggle like he has had to He does everything for me, all to help me get out of the trap of this place He does everything to see his children be better than he was He doesn’t understand this is impossible He doesn’t see the person he became is the person I want to be He is my dad The man he is, is the man I want to be
