there is a man who has a name
and all who know him, call him by it.
but it isn’t he.
we lay upon each person
such a burden to be carried,
that those who are not he,
are known to be.
for we shall call thee other,
to know you from ourself
and thus create the distance
we call life,
but your experience is my own,
removed by what we name;
when, in truth,
we both, are but the same.
So I shall know you not,
by the speaking of your name;
but by my heart
which is your own, the same.
