The Man From Snowy River
From the Aussie cowboy past
When men were men, and gals were scarce
But friendships made to last
Arrive when he was called for
Give the best of help he would
Often giving far more
Than any other drifter could
He had this reputation
Change difficult to ease
Welcome at the station
He would blow in with the breeze
Sit around the fire and yarn
About excitement in the past
If it rains go in the barn
His story list is vast
When he died he was Jack Riley
1914 was the year
None more respected highly
Celebrate him with a beer
