The Magical Moon Ladies of the Stars

The magic qualities of the moon
oozed in my sleeping berth, enlightening me gently.
Sage ideas danced and played,
swirling around poetic missives, forgotten by morning.
These are not your best, a woman’s voice whispered,
giving me a fair delicate warning.
Prepared by soulful ancestral pull of the
mystical, magical moon ladies of the stars evidently.

Dear Caren, Once upon a time, before either one of was yet born. A popular hit was this, "The Man in the moon was a lady." But your fabulous poem involves the interactions of several awesome moon ladies.

I have learned if the muse sings at night if I don’t rise and write that song will be forever lost ... liked this one :) love the title too

Thank you Sandra. My ideas come to me in my sleep, and I attribute them to the moon ladies of the stars.

Sometimes those voices won't let you sleep until you rise and write. By morning all is forgotten, so true. Happy New year Caren. xxoo

Happy New Year Connie. I wake up sometimes hearing the LAST LINE of probably my best poem ever, but I rarely hear the rest of it.
