The Magic Scrolls

The Magic Scrolls..
The Magic scrolls with pen and ink.
Telling great adventures of the great kings.
Many battles over great kingdoms.
Lots of death many castles beaten then won.

There was no guns back in those days.
Just swords and clubs - bow and arrows that was very deadly
Many men died for their kings.
While their wife’s were left at home weeping.

As the ink tells the story on this scroll.
It is full of history as far as we know.
They say the Romans prospered many times.
And Napoleon was killed because he was snuck up behind.

It’s hard to believe until you get all of the facts.
Any writer can alter anything we know that.
Lets take a look at what’s going on in the middle east.
It’s classified to the public we don’t know what’s going on
Not a darn thing.

Someday in the future someone will find a "Magic Scross" know what really happened during the war in the Middle East. People say things remain classified to protect our troops. If that's the case, so be it. Any other reason would be difficult to explain to our satisfaction. Great, thought-provoking poem, Jack! Read Laura's blog -- welcome back. Best wishes, Carolyn

So much truth in your last stanza. Interesting perspective to give the reader something to think about. The title caught my attention. Thank you for sharing your poem with us. Karen
