The Magic Little Elf
Once upon a time by a river wide
Lived a little elf with a magic stick
No one else used it - it stayed by his side -
He could bring rain and he could cure the sick
His powers were well known throughout the land
Creatures great and small called him by his name
They knew only good came from the elf's hand
And so the forest prospered with his fame
And then one day a very bad man came
To the forest to see it all himself
His plans were evil and he was to blame
For kidnapping the famous little elf
He would use the magic stick for riches
And he would leave the forest bare and cold
It would then be home to hags and witches
And the creatures would have no home to hold
But a little sparrow had seen the elf
As he was kidnapped and taken away
And so he took the task upon himself
To alert all the creatures come what may
First was the eagle with the golden eye
He soared aloft and found the evil man
He circled wide to mark the spot up high
The creatures saw and to the spot they ran
There were bears, wolves and creatures with sharp eyes
That chased the man and freed the little elf
And rid the woods of bad men and their lies
The elf shed tears and couldn't help himself
He reached up high and waved his magic stick
And signalled for the group to gather near
Ice cream appeared and chocolate so thick
And so the woods were rid again of fear
He's older now down by the river deep
But he still tends to creatures as they need
He knows that peace and love will always keep
Him safe from some man's foul and evil deed
