The Madness In Your Beauty

I once had met a girl 
And her smile made me nervous
And when I saw her eyes twinkle
It had made the stars imperfect 

I had showed her all my love 
But not a speck, had she returned it
I'd never thought an angel 
Could do one dirty as a vermin

I once had thought her pure 
But surely now she was a serpent 
And I realized at this moment 
That all beauty is a curtain 

When you peek inside the curtain, 
You see that beauty covers evil 
And sometimes the pretty faces 
Are on the ugliest of people

A simple yet oh-so-poetic thing; I hope you keep writing, writing like a wild man. : ) Yeah, sometimes an evil person is really good-looking, but I think it's extremly hard to truly hide all of it - there is a "hardness" to a pretty, evil person that's usually visible. Or am I just being foolishly romantic about this? We (people) tend to put a lot of importance on outward appearance... but when we see what is inside, we see the true beauty or lack of beauty. Nice poem.
